WASHINGTON (AP) — Gas prices in the D.C. metro area are up 4 cents from a week ago.
In its weekly report released Sunday, AAA says the average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gas is $3.34, up from $3.30 a week ago. The price is 36 cents lower than a year ago, when the price was $3.70.
The price of gas in the region is a penny below the national average. The national average for a gallon of unleaded was $3.35, up 7 cents from a week ago.
The average price in the District of Columbia alone was $3.51, up 2 cents from a week ago.
