After two weeks the most hopeful signs of the location of the missing Boeing Boeing 777 operating as Malaysia Air Flight 370 are some pieces of debris detected by satellite floating in the Indian Ocean. Whether those pieces are parts of the 777 remains to be seen but it is unlikely that any floating debris by itself will solve the puzzle of what happened on board Flight 370 that made it change course and disappear. But the debris, if confirmed to be from the 777, could help narrow the search field which in turn could lead to the discovery of the black boxes.
