FRISCO, Texas (AP) — Delonte West is coming in from the cold.
In a statement Friday, the Texas Legends of the NBA Development League says the veteran point guard is expected to be back in uniform for Saturday's home game against the Santa Cruz Warriors.
West, who has bipolar disorder, has been a no-show since the Dallas Mavericks D-League affiliate acquired him on Jan. 25.
The 6-foot-4, 180-pound guard from St. Joseph's was a valuable role player in a veteran backcourt for the Mavericks last season. But his preseason playing time in October was limited behind younger guards Darren Collison and O.J. Mayo.
The Mavericks had suspended West twice in two weeks before waiving him in October, and Mavericks owner Mark Cuban flatly ruled out a return to the parent team.
