DETROIT (AP) — The Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit is inviting visitors to come see art as it's born — and bought.

MOCAD's Monster Drawing Rally is set for Friday night.

As part of the fundraising event, dozens of local artists will draw live in the galleries of the museum.

Around 30 artists are to draw simultaneously in three, one-hour shifts. As the drawings are completed, they will be hung on the walls and made available for purchase.

Admission to the event is $10, and all drawings can be acquired for $40.

Proceeds from the Monster Drawing Rally will provide direct support for MOCAD's programs.
