Sen. Dianne Feinstein D-Calif., dismissed Sen. Rand Paul’s nearly 13 hour filibuster protesting the use of drones on American citizens on American soil.

“No drone is going to be used in the United States against an American citizen walking down a street, or sitting in a cafe,” Feinstein insisted on MSNBC last night.

Feinstein joined Sen. John McCain R-Ariz. ridiculing Paul for warning about a drone targeting an American dissident such as actress Jane Fonda.

“And then there was the stupid example of a drone being used against Jane Fonda,” Feinstein added. “I mean, I don’t think this is befitting the Senate floor.”

McCain said yesterday that the Jane Fonda argument fell into the “realm of the ridiculous.”
