Dimmest bulb: Former South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford
What: After being shamed out of politics by his extramarital affair and a high-profile, not-so-contrite confession of his dalliances, Sanford is back, running in a special election for Congress. He told a local TV station, “I’m a wounded warrior.”
Why it's dim: Warriors who wound themselves get the firing squad.
Cure: The voters can provide it if they want to.
