Rochester-based radio guy Mark Maira decided to take to his blog the Chowder Room on Tuesday to assess the haircuts on the heads of Fox News Channel anchors.

After making fun of Geraldo Rivera, Maira turned to cancer survivor Jennifer Griffin, who lost her hair during a tough battle with a rare form of breast cancer. "This haircut is for that large Fox News demographic of elderly lesbians," Maira wrote, of Griffin's cropped gray locks. "The news is hard for women when it comes to their hair," he continued. "If it's too long you look like a ditz and can only report on Vladimir Putin's new leather Crocs. If it's too short you look like a small boy with pituitary gland disorder." Griffin is Fox's D.C.-based national security correspondent.

Yeas & Nays reached out to Maira's station, 94.1 the Zone, and are waiting on comment. The blog post has since been deleted.
