Hey girl, Paul Ryan’s health is excellent, his doctor reported today.

“Your overall health is excellent,” Brian Monahan, the attending physician at Congress, wrote Ryan in a letter for his medical disclosure. “You have practiced important preventive lifestyles choices to include regular vigorous aerobic and strength-building exercises, a heart-healthy diet, smoking abstinence, and infrequent alcohol use.”

Ryan, of course, is famous for leading P90x workouts on Capitol Hill. (The good people at P90X are no doubt cutting an advertisement right now reflecting the doctor’s praise for his regimen.) Monahan did note that he has “a previously diagnosed airway hypersensitivity occasionally treated with as need albuteral inhaler, as well as a history of a herniated disc L5-S1 and a right knew medical meniscus injury.”

P90X designer Tony Horton said he’s been surprised at the amount of attention he’s gotten as a result of his relationship with Ryan.

“It’s funny because when Paul Ryan was the pick recently, we were sitting there watching it. I was with my girlfriend and she said, ‘you know, you might get a couple of calls as a result of this.’ I said, ‘oh no, I don’t think anybody — why would they call me? That seems silly,’ ” Horton recalled to The Washington Examiner’s Nikki Schwab yesterday. “And I’ve probably done over 30 interviews [about it] since.”
