A school bus was involved in a two-vehicle crash in Upper Marlboro, officials said, but none of the 32 students onboard was taken to the hospital.

At about 2:45 p.m., Prince George's County Fire/EMS personnel were called to a collision at Southbound Route 301 about one mile north of Old Marlboro Pike. A pick-up truck crashed into the rear of the school bus, and Fire/EMS spokesman Mark Brady said that it appears the truck's driver was traveling at a high rate of speed.

The bus was headed from Barack Obama Elementary School in Upper Marlboro and had 32 students onboard. However, none of them was being transported to a hospital, Brady said.

The pick-up truck's driver, a man, was taken to a trauma center with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The bus driver, also a man, was taken to a hospital in good condition.

Parents arrived on the scene and took most of the students home, Brady said. The rest of the students are being taken back to school by another bus.
