Alexandria police are seeking help in identifying the man who robbed a Dunkin Donuts.

About 11:15 a.m. Thursday, the robber entered the store at 4653 Duke St., displayed a handgun and told an employee to open the cash register. The employee complied, and the robber took an undisclosed amount of money and left.

The suspect was described as a black male in his mid-20s, 5-foot-10 to 5-foot-11, with a thin build and short hair. He was wearing khaki pants and a white plaid shirt and was last seen in a small blue vehicle heading westbound on Duke Street.

Anyone with information can call Detective Chris Whelan at 703-746-6884. Callers can remain anonymous.
