CHICAGO (AP) — The child custody battle between Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade and his ex-wife returned to a Chicago courtroom where Siovaughn (shuh-VON') Funches-Wade invoked the Fifth Amendment against self-incrimination during a hearing on visitation rights.

Funches-Wade is accused of child abduction for allegedly failing to return their sons, ages 10 and five, to Wade in a timely manner over the Father's Day weekend.

Wade is seeking a suspension of her visitation rights, or visitation only with supervision.

Cook County Associate Judge Helaine Berger ruled Tuesday that Funches-Wade can't visit her children in the Chicago area until she makes a final ruling on July 9. Funches-Wade can travel to Florida to see the boys.

Funches-Wade's attorney, Michael Haber, said testifying Tuesday might have hurt her defense against the criminal charges.
