The man accused of being the East Coast Rapist pleaded guilty in Loudoun County on Thursday afternoon to rape and abduction.

Aaron H. Thomas, 41, entered the pleas in Loudoun County Circuit Court related to the rape of a woman who was moving out of her Leesburg apartment in May 2001.

Thomas was expected to enter a plea two weeks ago accepting responsibility for the abduction of three teenage girls in Prince William County on Halloween 2009. Authorities say he raped two of the girls, but at that hearing told a judge he didn't know whether what he was doing was right or wrong.

Thomas is due back in Prince William County Circuit Court on Friday.

Thomas is suspected in more than a dozen attacks that occurred from 1997 to 2009 in Virginia, Maryland, Connecticut and Rhode Island. He was arrested in March 2011 in Connecticut after a tipster from Prince George's County called Crime Solvers.
