Officials in Egypt say at least 18 foreign tourists are dead after a hot air balloon crashed near Luxor. Foul play has been ruled out as a possible cause. (Feb. 26)

AT LEAST 19 FOREIGN TOURISTS ARE REPORTED DEAD IN EGYPT, AFTER A HOT AIR BALLOON CRASHED ON TUESDAY.

AN OFFICIALS SAYS THE BALLOON PLUNGED FROM THE SKY AFTER A FIRE AND EXPLOSION.

IT CRASHED INTO A SUGAR CANE FIELD NEAR LUXOR.

THE CITY IS SOUTH OF CAIRO, AND THE HOME OF MANY OF EGYPT'S FAMOUS ARCHAEOLOGICAL SITES.

IT'S UNKNOWN WHAT MIGHT HAVE CAUSED THE CRASH.

THE CASUALTIES ARE REPORTED TO HAVE COME FROM BRITAIN AND FRANCE.
