Rep. Elijah Cummings, D-Md., hasn't responded to House Oversight and Government Reform Committee chairman Darrell Issa's request for information that Cummings received from former IRS official Lois Lerner's attorney.

"I'll give him a response," Cummings told the Washington Examiner on Wednesday when asked if he would give that information to Issa, a California Republican.

The committee will vote on holding Lerner in contempt Thursday for her refusal to testify. Her attorney, William Taylor, initially told the committee that she would testify, only to back out after demanding immunity.

“So that all members of the committee can have a better understanding of Mr. Taylor’s current position, please disclose any communications that you or your staff have had with Mr. Taylor,” Issa wrote to Cummings last week.
