A moviemaker serving federal prison time for bank fraud has pleaded guilty to fraud and forgery charges in Iowa.
The Iowa attorney general's office says Harel Goldstein, of Calabasas, Calif., pleaded guilty Tuesday in Polk County District Court.
Officials say Goldstein admitted using the alias "Harel Gold" while contracting with Iowa because he wanted to hide the federal case.
Prosecutors say during filming of "Underground" in 2009, Goldstein created false invoices and used them to support expense claims for tax credits under a program aimed at building Iowa's film industry.
Iowa shut down the program before Goldstein submitted the copies.
Prosecutors say Goldstein, who faces a year's extension on his 46-month federal sentence, was given three suspended sentences, two years of probation and a $2,500 fine.
