Gov. Mary Fallin will be in Tulsa to promote the 2012 Aviator Ball, a fundraiser for the Tulsa Air and Space Museum.
Fallin and officials from several aerospace companies will discuss the event Tuesday morning.
The Republican governor has touted the state's growing aerospace industry as a key factor in Oklahoma's economic development.
She praised the Tulsa museum's educational programs that encourage students to take courses in science, engineering and math and pursue careers in aviation and aerospace. Students from Celia Clinton Elementary School who have participated in the museum's programs are expected to attend.
This year's ball will be held April 28 and will recognize women from across the state for their contributions to the aviation and aerospace industries.
