Ethan Hawke, arbiter of all things Gen-X due to his role in "Reality Bites" in 1994, is not impressed with the man frequently called Generation X's first candidate for a major U.S. office: Paul Ryan.

Hawke told the Huffington Post he finds Ryan "profoundly disappointing." Other Gen-Xers -- Michael Chabon, Philip Seymour Hoffman -- met with Hawke's approval. "I see people of my generation being fully realized in their work, and I find that really kind of exciting," he said. "But politics? Paul Ryan is certainly not my man."
