The suspect in the shooting death of a 25-year-old Capitol Heights woman was arrested overnight in Landover.

No details about the arrest were available Tuesday morning, Prince George's County police said.

Michael Jerome Stewart, 33, shot and killed his ex-girlfriend Brittany Sade McKinley after confronting her at a Capitol Heights strip club where she worked early Sunday morning, police said.

Stewart was kicked out to the club, then hid outside McKinley's home in the 4600 block of Heath Street in Capitol Heights, according to police.

When McKinley drove up to the home with another woman around 6 a.m., Stewart fatally shot McKinley and shot the other woman, 23, in the hand, police said.
