Prince George's County Police have identified a suspect in the killing of a 25-year-old woman, and they are asking the public for information that can lead to his capture.

Michael Jerome Stewart, 33, of Upper Marlboro, is wanted in the shooting death of his ex-girlfriend, Brittany Sade McKinley, and the wounding of another woman.

Police said Stewart got into a confrontation with McKinley, 25, at Irving's Night Club, a Capitol Heights strip club, early Sunday. After being kicked out the club by security, Stewart went to the victim's home in the 4600 block of Heath Street and waited, police said.

When McKinley and another woman drove up to the residence around 6 a.m., Stewart opened a car door and shot both women, police said.

McKinley was pronounced dead at the scene. The other woman, 23, was shot in the hand.

Anyone who knows the whereabouts of Michael Jerome Stewart can contact police at 301-772-4925. Crime Solvers is offering up to a $25,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction in this case.

Callers wishing to remain anonymous may call Crime Solvers at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477).
