Bethany Sullivan, a former secretary to the Culpeper police chief, pleaded guilty Wednesday to forging police personnel records.
Sullivan, 56, is the mother of former Culpeper police officer Daniel Harmon-Wright, who was convicted in January of voluntary manslaughter in the shooting of fatal shooting of an unarmed woman.
Sullivan admitted in court Wednesday to altering a police test score and to doctoring answers. She faces up to 10 years in prison at her sentencing June 3.
The discovery of the forged documents came during a special grand jury into the police-involved shooting.
Police say Harmon-Wright fatally shot Patricia Ann Cook in 2012 while serving as a Culpeper police officer.
