< p>FALL RIVER, Mass. (AP) — A family-owned Fall River company known for its high quality bed and bath linens is planning a $10 million expansion that will create about 70 jobs.

Officials say John Matouk & Co. plans a new 50,000-square-foot manufacturing building with construction expected to start in the spring.

A second phase would add another 20,000 square feet of space.

The 70 new jobs, on top of the current 85-person work force, would include positions in manufacturing, administration, office and retail.

Chief executive George Matouk tells The Herald News (http://bit.ly/R4WFf1 ) while the region's textile industry has struggled, the company has survived by making only luxury towels, robes and other items.

The company has been in the family three generations.
