Actor James van der Beek was dashing through the Emmy backstage area when he paused just long enough to check a television monitor and see Aaron Paul win the award for supporting actor in a drama series for "Breaking Bad."

"That's cool!" Van der Beek said to no one in particular. Then he headed on his way.
