An Oxon Hill church was heavily damaged during a two-alarm fire Tuesday.

Prince George's County firefighters responded to the fire at First Wesleyan Church of Oxon Hill about 7:30 a.m.

The fire caused about $100,000 in damage. No one was injured.

Officials said there was a late-night service at the church on New Year's Eve, but the the service ended early because the neighborhood experienced a loss of power. Church members left the building before power was restored.

The cause of the blaze is under investigation, with federal law-enforcement examining it because the fire was at a house of worship.
