FIS names Woody Woodall as chief financial officer

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) — Fidelity National Information Services Inc. said Monday that it has named James "Woody" Woodall as chief financial officer the banking and payment technology company.

Woodall has served as the company's senior vice president, chief accounting officer and controller for FIS since July 2008. He will assume his new role immediately, in which he will oversee all aspects of the company's financial operations.

He replaces Michael Hayford, who announced his retirement from the company in December.

Gary Norcross, the company's president and chief operating officer, said that Woodall's contributions have been crucial in FIS's performance and said Woodall brings proven financial leadership to the executive management team.

FIS, based in Jacksonville, provides software, technology and other services for financial institutions.

Shares slipped 29 cents to $38.01 in midday trading.

They are near the upper end of the 52-week range of $30.46 to $38.84.
