MIAMI (AP) — Florida teachers are working on ways to incorporate technology like smart phones and tablets into their curriculum.

Hundreds of public school teachers gathered at a conference in Miami on Saturday to discuss how they can use technology that students already bring to class to help them teach math and science. The Idea Expo featured more than 75 workshops given by teachers in Miami-Dade schools

Florida Education Commissioner Pam Stewart and Miami Dade County School Superintendent Alberto Carvalho also spoke at the conference.
