Florida Democrat bemoans loss of hotel maids and landscapers if immigration reform doesn't pass

Can we start saying Democrats have launched a “War on Immigrants"?

Florida Democratic congressional candidate Alex Sink said during a debate Tuesday that Congress should pass immigration reform -- otherwise, where else would we get maids and landscapers?

“We have a lot of employers over on the beaches that rely upon workers, and especially in this high-growth environment, where are you going to get people to work to clean our hotel rooms or do our landscaping?” asked Sink, a former bank executive. “We don’t need to put those employers in a position of hiring undocumented and illegal workers.”

Is that all she thinks immigrants are good for in Florida? Maybe she just needs more maids and landscapers for her family mansion.

Sink is currently in a tight race against Republican David Jolly in a special election to fill the seat vacated by the death of GOP Rep. Bill Young.
