President Obama is the “hero” of the Foo Fighters, lead singer Dave Grohl indicated before their performance at the Democratic National Convention this evening.

“It’s an honor to be here tonight,” Grohl, the former Nirvana drummer, said. “I think this song makes perfect sense, here.”

The Foo Fighters then played their hit, “My Hero.” President Obama will accept his party’s nomination this evening.
