ATHENS, Ga. (AP) — University of Georgia police say they've identified the person responsible for hacking into the school's computer system that contained records of current and former employees.

Charles Stapler Stell, who attended the school between the summer session of 2005 and spring semester of 2007 was identified as the suspected hacker. Authorities say he was found dead during the course of their investigation.

Athens-Clarke County Police say foul play is not suspected in the death of the 26-year-old man, and a final determination will be made after an autopsy is performed.

Authorities say files containing employee's personal information were likely never used for criminal purposes.
