Fort Collins experiments with electric motorcycle

FORT COLLINS, Colo. (AP) — The Fort Collins police department is experimenting with using an electric motorcycle

KMGH-TV reports (http://bit.ly/UW0Mvn ) Tuesday that the city is using an Enertia Plus LE on a trial basis.

According to the company's website, the Enertia has a top speed of more than 60 mph and a range of up to 80 miles on a single charge.

City officials say they experimenting with the motorcycles as a way to maximize fuel efficiency and green technology.
