Maryland placed four players on the 52-man All-ACC football team. Senior guard Bennett Fulper (business finance) made it for the third time. Sophomore fullback Tyler Cierski (kinesiology) is a two-time selection and was joined by sophomore linebacker Cole Farrand (letters and sciences), and freshman punter Nathan Renfro (letters and sciences).

Virginia Tech players selected were senior fullback Joey Phillips (curriculum and instruction), a two-time choice, junior guard David Wang (management), who is from Ashburn, and freshman safety Michael Cole (biology).

Players must have earned a 3.00 grade-point-average in the previous semester and have a 3.00 GPA overall to have been nominated. There were 105 players nominated.

Duke dominated the team with 21 players. No other school had more than six. The only other local product named was North Carolina State quarterback Mike Glennon of Centreville who made the team for the second time.
