FOX News anchor Shepard Smith apologizes for showing live suicide on TV

Fox News followed a live police chase on the news this afternoon which concluded in the pursued man shooting himself on live TV. The feed quickly cut away and returned with anchor Shepard Smith apologizing to the audience.

“We really messed up. We’re all very sorry. That didn’t belong on TV,” Smith said to the camera, explaining that their camera delay system didn’t work correctly. “That was wrong. That won’t happen again on my watch. I’m sorry.”
