Mayor Vincent Gray and District officials announced Sunday that Frager's Hardware Store is opening a temporary pop-up location after the Capitol Hill institution was destroyed in a fire last week.
Officials and Frager's owner John Weintraub announced that the temporary store would be located on the property that housed the interim Eastern Market. The temporary shop will sell garden products and other items salvaged from the fire.
"Frager's will rise again!" Gray said at a news conference announcing the pop-up store.
D.C. fire officials have said it could take days or weeks to determine the cause of the fire due to the intensity of the blaze.
