SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) — The National Park Service is offering free admission to all parks on Saturday in honor of National Public Lands Day.

The 19th annual event is meant to encourage people to go outside and enjoy the outdoors. Admission will be waived for all 397 national parks in the country.

In South Dakota, there are seven national parks. They are Mount Rushmore National Memorial, Badlands National Park, Wind Cave National Park, Jewel Cave National Monument, Lewis and Clark National Historic Trail, Missouri National Recreational River and Minuteman Missile National Historic Site.

Several parks across the country will also be holding volunteer events on Saturday.
