ATLANTA (AP) — The Technology Association of Georgia is hosting its annual High Technology Day at the Georgia state Capitol.

The event is a yearly gathering of members of Georgia's technology community who spend time visiting with state lawmakers. Tony Cooper, TAG spokesman, says the group's visit Thursday will focus on urging lawmakers to extend the Angel Investor Tax Credit, which expires at the end of 2013.

The tax credit was passed by the General Assembly in 2010 and gave tax credits to people who invested in startup companies.

The Technology Association of Georgia is comprised of over 32,000 members and the group's mission is to educate, promote and unite the state's technology community to support a tech-based economy.
