Young Washingtonians have the opportunity to meet and mingle with former Rep. Gabrielle Giffords and her astronaut husband, Mark Kelly, on Tuesday night before President Obama's State of the Union address. The couple will be holding court at Matchbox on Capitol Hill for a young professionals reception, which will serve as a fundraiser for their gun-focused political action committee, Americans for Responsible Solutions.

The PAC has been active this week, putting out an advertisement on Monday featuring both Giffords and Kelly. "[T]here are solutions we can agree on -- even gun owners like us," Giffords said. "Take it from me, Congress must act. Let's get this done."

Tickets to the reception cost $100 per guest and $500 to host. Afterward, Giffords and Kelly will be watching the State of the Union in person as guests of Rep. Ron Barber, D-Ariz., Giffords' successor in Congress, and Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz.
