It was roughly 200 years ago that cottages were built and a community established just beyond the French Quarter in the area named for French milliner and property owner, Claude Treme. The neighborhood is considered one of America's most unique, and it is getting a new lease on life thanks, in part, to the spotlight provided by HBO's series, “Treme.” It's also at the center of a $4 billion redevelopment plan.
