Maryland State Police are asking travelers who grabbed cash that had spilled from an armored truck to return the money, no questions asked.

Attorney Heather Kelly told the Associated Press that she saw two clear plastic bags of currency along Interstate 270 and about 30 cars parked on both shoulders, with people scrambling to collect fists full of dollars. She described the scene as a “snow globe of cash.”

The money fell from a unsecured door of an armored vehicle south of Route 109.

Police are urging people to turn the money back to the state police barracks in Rockville.
