CORRECTS SPELLING TO PERSYN NOT PERSON The Persyn family residence in Lincoln Township was partially burned in the late hours of Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2013 when Eric Ramsey attempted to set it on fire. Ramsey had abducted a CMU student who left his moving vehicle to run to the residence for help. 14 year-old James Persyn III was in the home with his 11 year-old sister and 2 year-old brother when the woman banged on the door. James let the woman in, locked the door, grabbed his hunting knife, and moved her, his siblings, and the family dog into the bathroom while the woman used James' phone to call the police. While the four were shut in the bathroom, Ramsey attempted to light the house on fire and then left. (AP Photo/The Saginaw News, Colleen Harrison)
