A teenage girl and a man were shot during a home invasion robbery in the Aspen Hill area early Thursday.

Montgomery County police said two suspects forced their way into a home in the 13000 block of Freeland Road about 12:30 a.m., and demanded money from the people in the home. During the encounter, a 14-year-old girl was shot in the ankle and a 55-year-old man was shot in the upper body.

The suspects are described as white males who are both between the ages of 20 and 25.

Both victims were transported to area hospitals and are expected to survive.

At this time, detectives believe there is some association between the suspects and residents.
