Washington Republican Rep. Cathy McMorris Rogers has set a new House record, and it’s got nothing to do with fighting Democrats, spending or even campaigning.

On Sunday, she became the first lawmaker to give birth three times while serving in the House.

“Welcome Brynn Catherine! (Born at 6:19 am on Nov. 24, weighing 7 lbs. 6 oz.) Nothing compares to the miracle of bringing a new life into the world. She's beautiful and seems to be taking it all in stride. Our hearts are full,” she said on Instagram.

An associate said that McMorris Rodgers, 44, the chair of the House Republican Conference, is the first to give birth three times while serving in Congress. The others: older brother Cole was born in April 2007 and sister Grace in December 2010.

She was elected from Eastern Washington in 2004.
