Girl sexually assaulted at Southeast D.C. rec center

A girl was sexually assaulted at a recreation center in Southeast D.C. on Wednesday.

The attack occurred at about 8:15 p.m. on Wednesday on the 1400 block of 41 St. SE, according to police spokesman Anthony Clay.

The Washington Post reported that the assault occurred inside the Fort Davis Recreation Center.

Authorities said the girl, described only as a juvenile female, was assaulted by a black male. No other description of the suspect was available.
