"I'm going out and for the first time, I'm going to be speaking to the 'Friends of Abe' and they're having a big, you know, event, that they've asked me to speak at," he said.
Beck said that he planned to "rally the troops" in Hollywood, pointing out that he had purchased a movie studio in Dallas, Texas.
"And that thing is going to be running — it's gonna look like Willy Wonka, I don't care if we have to staff it with Oompa-Loompas — that thing's going to be running soon, 24/7, because we've got to get control and we've got to get people into the culture," he said. "The culture is what matters!"
Cruz agreed, reminding Beck that the "Friends of Abe" group had also been targeted by the IRS, calling the investigation "McCarthyism."
Cruz revealed that he had given the group some advice in the wake of the trouble with the IRS.
"The advice I gave 'Friends of Abe,' I said listen, you guys should give the same answer to them you would give to any McCarthyist investigation which is, 'Go jump in a lake,'" Cruz said.
