Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker received a standing ovation from fellow delegates when it was time for him to announce the delegate count, during the nomination process in Tampa today.

Walker bragged that Wisconsin was the home of the NFL’s MVP, the MLB’s MVP, and Miss America.

Walker also praised fellow Wisconsinites RNC chairman Reince Priebus and Rep. Paul Ryan, who Walker “the bravest person I know in politics, and the most courageous and decent.”

Later Walker told CSPAN that he was honored by the show of support, but a little bit “embarrassed.”
