LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) — Gov. Dave Heineman says he's confident state Sen. Deb Fischer will win Nebraska's U.S. Senate race.

Heineman said Tuesday night he believes Fischer will beat Democrat Bob Kerrey.

If Fischer does win, all five of Nebraska's congressional representatives will be Republicans. All of the state constitutional offices are already held by Republicans.

So Heineman says he believes election night will be good for Nebraska Republicans.
