RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — Virginia is toasting Barboursville Vineyards for a fourth time.

The vineyard between Charlottesville and Culpeper has won the 2013 Virginia Wineries Association's Governor's Cup for its 2009 vintage Octagon 12th edition. The honor was announced late Thursday by Gov. Bob McDonnell, who has been a big booster of the state's growing wine industry.

It's the first time a Virginia winery has snagged the Governor's Cup four times. Barboursville won in 1992, 1999 and 2007.

The latest winning vintage is a blend of the winery's best Bordeaux.

Other wineries honored in the annual awards include Cooper Vineyards, Lovingston Winery, Rappahannock Cellars and Trump Winery, among others.

Sales of Virginia wine reached a record 5.8 million bottles sold in 2012.
