Grain futures mostly higher, livestock mixed

CHICAGO (AP) — Grain prices for March delivery mostly rose in early trading Friday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat rose 2¾ cents to $7.38½ a bushel; Corn rose 2¼ cents to $6.93 a bushel; Oats were flat at $3.89½ a bushel; while soybeans rose 13¼ cents to $14.86½ a bushel.

Beef and pork futures were mixed on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

February live cattle rose .70 cents to $125.30 a pound; March feeder cattle rose .95 cents to $140.50 a pound; April lean hogs slipped .07 cents to 82.20 cents a pound.
