Grains futures rise; beef prices fall

CHICAGO (AP) — Grains futures rose Monday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for September delivery rose 22 cents to $8.2825 a bushel; December corn rose 37 cents to $7.30 a bushel; December oats rose 20 cents to $3.7950 a bushel; while November soybeans jumped 42 cents to $15.4775 a bushel.

On the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, beef futures fell while pork futures rose.

August live cattle slipped 0.15 cent to $1.1905 a pound; August feeder cattle fell 2.25 cents to $1.4427 a pound; while August lean hogs rose 0.65 cent to 93.95 cents a pound.
