DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) — A hacker has hit a website used by the Iowa Senate Republican Caucus.

A spokeswoman for the Senate Republicans says the attack was discovered Monday morning and hadn't been fixed by the afternoon.

Spokeswoman Kirsten Anderson says efforts were under way to fix the problem.

The attack replaced the normal page with a site featuring a picture of a young woman in a white lab coat and the words: "Ayumi... there is only one reason for loving you..."

Anderson says party officials don't know what motivated the attack. The site typically features information about GOP state senators. It is paid for through private money and is not part of the state system.
