COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley says she hasn't spoken with anyone with Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney's campaign about becoming his vice presidential running mate.

Haley says she's not interested anyway.

The governor spoke with reporters Tuesday by telephone during a visit to the Farnborough Airshow outside London.

Queried by a reporter about recent comments made by Romney's wife, Ann, that women are under consideration for the slot, Haley responded as she had before: it's not for her. And, she said, neither is a cabinet spot.

Haley says she intends to help Romney get elected, but her focus is on South Carolina and bringing new business to the state.
