In 1989 a UTA flight was blown up by a bomb over the Sahara Desert in Africa. Dubbed ‘The Forgotten Flight’ it wasn’t until 18 years later that family members of those lost were able to get to the remote location. Thanks to Google Earth, we can now see the memorial they built by hand to remember all 170 passengers on board who lost their lives.
